In 1977 a group of the boys, the original Acton Rangers, decided someone needed to bring a little order to Acton since regular Law Enforcenment was scarce. The July 4th parade was a good time to get started and so the "Famous Acton Rangers" were formed.

Their motto was selected 20 years ago and all Rangers abide by it today and try to deliver this message to the Acton youth participating in their Gymkhanas...

The original by-laws are still followed and membership is limited to 15 members. New members are taken in only after a 3 month trial period and at the vote of all members.

The Acton Rangers proudly rode as the Grand Marshalls of the 1998 Acton 4th of July Parade.
