Called to Order 7:35 p.m. by President David Weary             

Leona Sexton absent, all other officers and members present

 

Minutes of June 7, 2004 approved as read.

 

Treasurer's report:  Madge Rogaczewski

                · Reported a balance of $ 1251.32

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS / CORRESPONDENCE

Bill Daniels read the following :

· A letter from Friends of the Acton-Agua Dulce Library asking for a letter of support. Dick Morris Moved to send letter-Motion Carried . Dick Morris will send. 

· Notice indicating the Agua Dulce Country Fair will be held Oct. 2, 2004 at Agua Dulce Town Center.

Planning & Coordinating   Chair Dick Morris 

· Notice from California Regional Water Quality Control Board (resolution R4-008} containing significant changes in provisions for negotiating Waste Discharge Permits.

· C.U.P. request for continued operation Agua Dulce Winery.

· Notice of proposed Gas  Station/ Mini-Mart on Sierra Highway between Pearblossom Hwy and SR14 access.

 

Finance, Ways and Means  Chair Madge Rogaczewski -

                · Apparently net approx. $250 at 4th of July game booth.

Trails, Open Space & Recreation  Chair Ray Billet  

                ·  Passed out copies of draft letter concerning proposed Forest Plan changes (have until August 11 to respond.) Having trouble getting detailed maps from United States Forest Service. Has been in contact with representative of Sierra Club, who would like to make a presentation before the council.

· County enforcement people are working on illegal signs.

                · Dick Morris announced a meeting has been scheduled for July 13, 7:00 p.m. at Hedgecock Hall.

Election Committee :  Chair Ray Billet announced:

· Applications to be available Aug. 13.

· Filing deadline will be Sept. 17.

· Candidate Forum scheduled for Oct. 18.   

 

OLD BUSINESS

                · Bill Daniels inquired regarding letter to State concerning Rehab on Eagle Butte (Motion of April 5, 2004 regular meeting)  Dick Morris stated the letter has gone out.

 

NEW BUSINESS

                ·.From the gallery, Some discussion regarding concerns of some local residents about a neighboring kennel.   

 

OPEN FORUM

                · Concerns from residents regarding the revived Casden project between Crown Valley Rd. and Wisconsin. Will try to get a developer representative to a meeting.

                · Peaceful Valley residents reported on status of rehab on Eagle Butte.                Still unresolved.
