November 5, 2001 Regular Meeting

Called to Order 7:32 p.m. by President David Weary

Doug Barnett , Leona Sexton absent, all other officers and members present.

Minutes of October 1, 2001 meeting approved as published.

Treasurer Leona Sexton - No Report

Ray Garwacki Jr. announced receipt of the following:

· A notice from Calif. Hi Speed Rail Authority of a meeting in Kern County on Nov. 14.

· Ray Garwacki Jr. and Bill Daniels reported on materials and information received at the Town Council Workshop held by L.A. County on Oct. 23.

· The Chair presented commendation certificates for retiring members Calvin Oglesby and Doug Barnett, and thanked them for their service to the community.

· The Chair then introduced new members Donald Jordan, Michael Hughes, and continuing members Ray Garwacki Jr., Ray Billet, and Georgia Cushman. The oath of office was administered by the Acton Community Club President, David Weary .

· The Chair then appointed Bill Daniels to chair the nominating committee.

· Dick Morris Moved to have the offices of Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary be held by one person. -Motion Carried.

· The Chair vacated in favor of the nominating committee chair, who then opened for nominations from the floor. Hearing none, the nominations were closed.

· David Weary then resumed the chair and appointed Bill Daniels to chair and officer election committee, Bill Daniels then asked Edie Jeske to collect and count the ballots.

Public Hearing set for Nov. 6. - No Action Taken · TM 26508 Proposed 4 homes on 5 acres between Crown Valley Rd. and Poppy Ln. May be some drainage issues.

· Inquired as to progress of question on equestrian passage over driveways. David Weary will follow-up.

· From the Gallery, Lillian Smith asked about awareness of U.S. Forest Service planning changes. Trails Council is keeping tabs on them.

· Bill Daniels reported on Congress held Oct. 25, at Canyon HS. Information collected will result in new draft for study in next couple of months.

· Ray Billet reported on progress of bridge reconstruction on Aliso Cyn. Rd. expects to be completed sometime in December.

· Dick Morris Moved to relinquish P.O. Box 998. - Motion Carried
