Called to Order 7:30 p.m. by President David Weary

Georgia Cushman, Doug Barnett , Calvin Oglesby absent, all other officers and members present.

Minutes of September 17, 2001 meeting approved as published.

Treasurer Leona Sexton - Reported a balance of $ 903.46

Dick Morris announced receipt of the following:

· A notice from Michael Antonovich of a meeting of the LAX Expansion Task Force on Wed. Oct. 10 9:00 a.m. at L.A. County Fire Dept. north L.A. County Training Center.

· An invitation from Michael Antonovich to a Town Council Workshop to be held by L.A. County on Tue. Oct. 23 1:30- 4:00 p.m. at 500 W. Temple St. Ray Garwacki Jr. will attend and Bill Daniels will try.

· John Wiley and other representatives of Adelphia (TV Cable Co.), who recently purchased Acton Cable, made a presentation outlining their plans for expanding and improving cable service in Acton.

· Information package from Calif. Regional Water Quality Control Board.

· Notice of approval of Tentative Tract Map 43766 (Classic Eng.)

· Meeting notice on Basin Plan Amendment - not applicable to Acton.

· Notice of Conditional Use Permit application 10-021-5 for additional residence at 6124 Escondido Cyn. Rd.

· Reported on progress of property acquisition. Parcel #1 acquired for $ 190k, Parcel #2 acquired for $ 115k, unable to acquire parcel #3. Will start monthly meetings, first tentative for Oct. 9.

Community Club Liaison Dick Morris

· Reported on success of annual Appreciation Dinner.

· David Weary reported on the Acton Arts Council.

Santa Clarita Valley General Plan- Liaison Leona Sexton

· Designated delegates for Valley Congress will be Bill Daniels, Leona Sexton, Roger Broggie, and Kathy Howald. Alternates are Georgia Cushman and Randy Newman. Congress will meet Oct. 25, at Canyon HS.
