February 5, 2001 Informational Meeting
Acton Community Center
Called to Order 7:46 p.m. by President David Weary
All officers and members present.
PRESENTATIONS
· This was an informational meeting concerning the Albertson's Market / Gas Station / Minimart proposed to be constructed on the southwest corner of Crown Valley Rd. and Antelope Woods Rd. Conditional Use Permit for Off-Sale Alcohol scheduled for L.A. County Regional Planning Commission Public Hearing Mar. 7.
Citizens attending were allowed to express opinions and ask questions.
Also in attendance were two representatives of L.A. County Dept. of Public Works Traffic and Lighting, A representative from L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning, and Michael Antonovich's Deputy Conal McNamara.
Tim Heath presented petitions purported to contain 1100 signatures in opposition to the project.
· The Chair indicated that the Council will vote a position on this issue at the next regular meeting scheduled for February 19, 2001.
OLD BUSINESS
· Dick Morris Moved to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Chrys Hamper . Motion Carried (unanimous).
The Chair announced the availability of applications for the vacancy. Application deadline to be March 2. The appointment will be made on March 19.
NEW BUSINESS
· The Chair called a Special Meeting to discuss the Transit-Mixed Concrete Project. Meeting to be held February 6, 8:00 p.m. at the home of Bill Daniels.
ADJOURNMENT
The Chair announced the next regular meeting to be held February 19, 2001. 7:30 p.m. Location to be announced.
