Called to Order 7:40 p.m. by President David Weary

All officers and members present.

PRESENTATIONS

· On hand to present plans for the proposed Albertson's Market and Gas Station at the southwest corner of Antelope Woods Rd. and Crown Valley Rd. were Property owner Dick Powers, Real Estate Mgr. Jeff Dierck, Architect John Lei, and Industrial Eng. Paul Henry. Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit for sale of alcohol is scheduled for March 6, 2001.

The Chair called a recess until 9:05 p.m.

· The Chair presented the question of whether Acton should participate in the development of the Santa Clarita general plan, or to remain part of the Antelope Valley plan. The Santa Clarita plan revision process is currently under way, whereas the Antelope Valley plan may not be revised for 5 to 10 years. On hand to answer questions were Michael Antonovich's Deputy Conal McNamara, City of Santa Clarita Public Information Officer Gail Ortiz, and Andy Malakates from L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning.

· The Chair raised the question of an official web site Bill Daniels Moved to table discussion-Motion Carried

· Bill Daniels Moved to participate in the Santa Clarita Valley planning process on a non-binding basis -Motion Failed (5-2) Bill Daniels, Leona Sexton dissenting.

· Doug Barnett Moved to form a committee to attend Santa Clarita Valley planning meetings to monitor and report back. Motion Failed (5-2) Leona Sexton, Doug Barnett dissenting.

· Ray Garwacki Jr. Moved to reconsider the motion of Bill Daniels to participate. Motion Failed (4-3) Bill Daniels, Leona Sexton, Ray Garwacki Jr. dissenting.

Minutes of December 18, 2000 meeting approved as published.

Treasurer Leona Sexton --Reported a balance of $1007.81

ANNOUNCEMENTS / CORRESPONDENCE

· Leona Sexton announced a public park meeting to be held January 30, 7:00 p.m. Acton Community Center .

· Dick Morris reminded all of the Transit-Mixed Concrete hearing at L.A. County Board of Supervisors January 23.

The Chair announced the next regular meeting to be held February 5, 2001. 7:30 p.m. Location to be announced.

The next Planning Meeting scheduled for Feb. 19, 2001 7:30 p.m. Acton Community Center.
