Treasurer Leona Sexton reported a balance of $ 917.81.

PRESENTATIONS
Dick Morris introduced Battalion Chief Steve Lindsay L.A. County Fire Dept. who read a letter of thanks from Michael Antonovich to Carson Water Delivery for their help in fighting the Sept. 13 fire in Agua Dulce .
STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS
Planning & Coordinating Chair Dick Morris
· Renewal of Carson Bros. Conditional Use Permit #97-175. Regional Planning hearing set for Oct. 11. Request is for 20 year duration with no changes in operations. Will be considered at Oct. 2 Regular Meeting to allow time for review.
· Classic Engineering presented a review of recently reactivated TM43776, 39 homes on 79acres east of Crown Valley Rd. between Bandell and Westcoatt. Council requested specific information on Drainage and Trails when available.
· From Santa Clarita, Mayor Pro Tem René West, Rick Putnam, Marie Roundtree, made an information presentation on the various aspects of the Transit-Mixed Concrete Mining proposal. L.A. County Board of Supervisors appeal hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24.

· Only applications received for the 4 available seats were from the 4 incumbents. Calvin Oglesby Moved to waive the election process under Article 12, Sect. 1 of the bylaws. Motion Carried (unanimous)
OLD BUSINESS
· Representative from Crescent Bay gave update on their N, Crown Valley and Carson Mesa projects.
· Association of Rural Town Councils declined to take a position on L.A. County proposal on windmills.
· Leona Sexton read a letter Derek Finger bone marrow transplant fundraising efforts. Transplant is scheduled for Oct. 12. Still need more donations to cover additional expenses.
NEW BUSINESS
· Leona Sexton reported a net of $565.00 from Camera Raffle. Winning ticket drawn was Robt. Mearns. Dick Morris called Mr. Mearns and left message.
