Bill Daniels absent - All other officers and members present.
Minutes of Apr. 3, 2000 meeting approved as read.
Treasurer Leona Sexton reported a balance of $ 895.14.
ANNOUNCEMENTS / CORRESPONDENCE
David Weary announced receipt of :
· A letter from Michael Antonovich concerning the Illegal Dumping Sub-Committee.
· An invitation to friends and family preview night (May 9) from Barnes & Noble.
PRESENTATIONS
· Dick Morris presented details of a L.A. County Dept. of Public Works project involving Soledad Cyn. Rd. between West Crown Valley Rd. and Bootlegger Cyn Rd. Proposal will include left turn pockets at Bootlegger and Crown Valley, widening of Soledad Cyn Rd. and a westbound passing lane. Dept. officials will make a formal presentation at a future meeting.

SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS
Beautification Chair Chrys Hamper
· Announced a press conference to be held by Michael Antonovich on May 11 at Station 129 concerning success of Illegal Dumping Pilot Project, and future plans.
· Rose Sharp property on Soledad Cyn. Rd. is being dumped on again. Will work on clean-up and berm rebuild.
· Moved to send letter to L.A. County Board of Supervisors opposing relaxation of current ordinances regulating newspaper stands - Motion Carried (4-3) - Ray Billet -Ray Garwacki Jr. -Doug Barnett dissenting.
Drainage and Roads Chair Bill Daniels -No Report
Rural Town Council Liaison Calvin Oglesby
· Meeting rotation is : May 22-Green Valley, June 29-The Lakes, July 27-Little Rock, and August 31-Acton.
· Association of Rural Town Councils has requested each member council contribute $25 to cover mailing costs.
Dick Morris Moved to comply Motion Carried (unanimous)
· Some discussion regarding possibility of changes or reduction in the L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning $515 review fee for Acton Community Standards. - no action taken.
Santa Clara River Steering Committee Liaison Ray Billet -Nothing to Report

Community Club Liaison Dick Morris
· Little Night Music concert to be held June 10. Tickets $14 adults and $6 child under 12.
· Some chamber people working on more after-parade activities for 4th of July..
OLD BUSINESS
· The Chair announced action taken at the Executive Session of May 3. Voted to allow Doug Barnett 30 days to clear up discrepancies concerning his residency. Mr. Barnett indicated he has successfully restored residency.
NEW BUSINESS
· The Chair announced the Metrolink Station dedication to be held Friday June 2. Time to be announced.
· Ray Billet suggested that representatives of the 909+ac Coussoulis Project (formerly Pratty) be invited to make a presentation to the Acton Town Council. Will be done.
· Ray Billet inquired as to progress of bridge rebuild project on Aliso Cyn. Rd. (ref. 6/7/99 Regular Meeting) Dick Morris will check with L.A. County Dept. of Public Works.
· Ray Garwacki Jr. announced the Community Presbyterian will be holding their 2nd annual Cemetery Cleanup Day on May 20.
