Called to Order 7:37 P.M. by President David Weary
Dick Morris, Ray Garwacki Jr. absent - All other Officers and members present.
Minutes of Feb. 7, 2000 meeting approved as read.
Treasurer Leona Sexton reported a balance of $ 1001.14.
PRESENTATIONS
· Representatives of the L.A. County Sheriffs Dept. were on hand to discuss concerns with local residents, and clarify applicable regulations regarding operation of motorized off-road vehicles.
ANNOUNCEMENTS / CORRESPONDENCE
David Weary announced receipt of :
· Copy of notification from L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning to Transit-Mixed Concrete indicating denial of their application (SM91165) .
· Brochure containing information on High Speed Train.
· Copy of letter published in Agua Dulce-Acton Country Journal by David Weary in response to a letter of concern from Acton resident Carole Francis regarding equestrian trail issues.
· Letter from Acton resident Denise Sedore announcing a meeting of the Friends of Acton Library scheduled for Sat. Mar. 25, 9:30 a.m., at Acton Community Center .
· Notice of case filing with L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning for a Nextel wireless communication site on Sierra Hwy. east of Hypotenuse Rd.
· Notice of Public Hearing on TM52637 (Weary) on L.A. County Regional Planning Commission agenda for March 21.
David Weary indicated that a letter of support previously adopted ( Motion by Dick Morris at October 5, 1998 Regular Meeting )
Has apparently never been sent to L.A. County Dept. of Regional Planning. Doug Barnett Moved that the letter be sent in accordance with the motion previously adopted. Motion Carried (unanimous)
David Weary temporarily vacated the Chair in order to present information on his project (TM52637)
Calvin Oglesby Moved that Bill Daniels act as chairman pro-tem - Motion Carried
David Weary made an updated presentation on TM52637, after which he returned to the Chair.
The Chair announced a Teen Dance for 6th, 7th & 8th graders in the Acton Agua Dulce School Dist. To be held Mar. 17 at the Acton Community Center .

Trails, Open Space & Recreation Chair Ray Billet
· U.S. Forest Service implementation of new trails, and trailhead in Aliso Cyn. Has been delayed due to discovery of sensitive archaeological sites.
· Proposals for re-alignment of Pacific Crest Trail will be discussed at the Agua Dulce Town Council meeting scheduled for Wed. March 8 at the Agua Dulce Women's Club.
· From the Gallery some concerns expressed regarding trail easements and alignment of Brinville Rd. on the planned DKY tract in north Crown Valley area.

· Has been receiving e-mail requests for general community information - will be referred to Acton Chamber of Commerce.
